I am afraid we English people can't understand anything in Welsh. Would you mind posting  in English please, or in both English and Welsh

    if it makes you happy!

    Kay x.x.

Sure, Kay.  It was simply a request that OMA consider having a go at The Proud One, by the great Bob Gaudio (The Four Seasons etc).

I'm not too embarrassed to admit that I enjoyed the Osmonds' version back in the Seventies;  I reckon Only Men Aloud's would be even better.

great suggestion Geraint, I also remember the Osmonds version and am not embarrased to say that, the boys could certainly do this song proud (sorry for the pun)

I absolutely love this song but my favourite Osmonds song and one which I think would be even better is "Let Me In". I used to think it was a love song but in fact it was from their concept album Creation and is about a man who was estranged from his faith for a while and then came back to God. Its a beautiful song whichever way you take it.

Kay - its never to late to learn to speak Welsh. Lots of the boys repertoire is in Welsh after all.

Geraint - croeso y OMA forum.

I would love to learn Welsh but even though I don't live that far from the Welsh border I've never seen any classes in my area.

My friend runs an entirely free online course which requires on 30 minutes of your time 3 or 4 times a week and there is no writing involved. You learn to speak Welsh just as children do -by listening and repeating and putting sentences together yourself with the words you learn in each session. I have already had one lady from the forum who completed the course and now speaks better Welsh than I do! She is starting a course at Aberystwyth University this year which will lead to a degree. The website it SaySomethingInWelsh.com

    Pob lwc (good luck)

Forgot to say Geraint that I dug my old Osmonds records out this afternoon and am more convinced than ever that Let Me In is perfect for the boys - thats if they don't fancy having a bash at Crazy Horses LOL

Yes, Crazy Horses LOL!  Vaguely remember The Proud One but definitely remember Let Me In.  Did they come from a barbershop background?  I'm sure they started off doing some - I have some LPs somewhere but the annual will have been binned during the 70's.  Not that they did barbershop on an LP.  I'm sure I saw on OMA's old website (pre LS) that they included a bit of barbershop in their repertoire.  Where did it go?  They'd do it brilliantly.

Thanks for the info about the Welsh course jeegee I will definitely try and find the time to look into that.

Just trying to imagine the boys singing 'Crazy Horses'.....................

"Let me in" and "Crazy Horses" ( as done by the Osmonds) YES PLEASE!!!  If "Crazy Horses" was half as good as the Tom Jones medley by the boys it would be "pure dead brilliant"!  (A bit of Scots coming in there!)

Isn't the variety of styles that they sing just fantastic?!  Can you guess that I'm a bit of a fan?!?!?

    Best wishes xx

    Re: Annwyl OMA....

I think Let Me In is a more realistic choice although Sir Jeff may well wish to take up the gauntlet and see what he could come up with as regards a suitable arrangement for Crazy Horses! LOL. It sounds like a challenge to me and I dunno about Jeff but I was never one to back off from a challenge. If someone says to me that I can't do something my response is invariably "watch me!" Ooh I think the gauntlet has been well and truly thrown down now!
